Back To School In Style

With the new university school term having just started, many students are busy catching-up with fellow course mates, meeting new people in various electives and dreadfully, rushing assignments and projects even though it is just the start of the semester. As if meeting deadlines are not a problem by itself, some face the common “Sigh, What should I wear” question every morning. In this style report, we pick out the latest fashion trends among Korea’s student population.

1. High-school Skirt

Who ever thought that Korea’s students would revert to wearing uniform-looking apparel when it is finally not compulsory for them to wear uniforms every day?

These schoolgirl pleated skirts are popular because they give off the illusion of longer legs and adds a young and girly accent to your overall look. These students have even taken the schoolgirl look a step further by wearing white socks and sneakers that look exactly like school shoes!

2. Overalls

If an extra feminine look such as the schoolgirl skirts is not your thing, then perhaps you would want to give a shot at wearing overalls! They are casual, stylish and you can have fun mixing and matching the overall with the apparel inside!

The main problem in wearing overalls is a very practical one – going to the washroom is a PAIN. The solution? An overall with a skirt bottom!

3. Broad Pants

Move over skinny jeans, broad pants are in trend. They are comfortable and versatile – broad pants can be part of a casual outfit, or, with the right texture and colour, they can be also worn for presentations and formal occasions. And there’s no need for a fanciful top to match it, a simple striped shirt is enough to pull of an eye-catching look.

4. Roll-up Jeans

For guys who are just too lazy to dress up, this fashion tip is so easy there is no excuse not to look better. Instead of wearing jeans as it is, simply roll up the bottom of the jeans to the ankle for a more polished and fashionable look.

6. Simple, Clean Lines

You can never go wrong with simple fits and cuts – perfect for mornings when you are rushing to get dressed, if you are going to school for a short while, or simply if you cannot decide what to wear.
