2 Products that will Fix Your Damaged and Tangled Hair!
Nowadays, many frizzy hair solutions are being shared on the internet. Hair masks, oils and homemade treatments, you name it, you can also learn how to fix dry hair at home right now.
It is true that hair oils (for e.g. argan oil) can help you condition your damaged hair and they are often more affordable than salon hair treatments in Singapore. What you may not know is that even the best hair treatment for frizzy hair is temporary.
Hair is made up of dead tissues, so it cannot heal. What you can do is improve the texture of your hair by using hair oils, conditioners and proteins. These products make your hair shiny, soft and manageable while you grow out your hair.
Despite its temporary effects, it nourishes and soothes your dry scalp, so that the new hair grows out healthy and strong. We recommend to use a moisturizer as a dry scalp home treatment. You need to have a proper hair care routine if you want to dye or bleach your hair repeatedly.

Switch to Chanamu C Leave-in Treatment
It is a hair serum that contains tea tree oil and chamomile flower extract, which has antibacterial properties and smells great.
Great for oily scalp and dry hair combination as it is lightweight yet moisturizing
Treats dry scalp which causes dandruff and itchiness
Protects your hair from external damage (for e.g. free radicals)
Step 1 - Shampoo Hair and Towel Dry until 80%
After using our go-to Chanamu Tea Tree Shampoo, we towel dry the hair until it is dried to 80%.
Dry and frizzy hair is prone to breakage and split ends. Avoid using excessive heat to blow dry your hair if possible, as that will damage your hair further. If you can’t, invest in a good quality hair dryer that has multiple heat and wind speed settings to cater to your hair’s condition.
We also recommend using a shampoo that is suitable for sensitive scalp. You should use a shampoo that’s mild and moisturising, so that it will not strip your scalp’s natural oil and irritate it.
Bleached hair tends to be more porous than healthy hair and a shampoo that is safe for coloured hair will ensure that your hair colour will not be ruined.
We do suggest to brush out your tangled hair ends gently after your hair is 80% dry, as they will be harder to untangle after drying. Brush only to tame the frizz.
And as suggested, blow dry on a low heat, strong wind setting for a faster drying time.
Step 2 - Apply Chanamu S evenly on Scalp and Hair
What’s magical about Chanamu S is that you need only a small amount to fully coat your hair, so it’ll last up to 2-3 months even with daily use. We found that the hair serum can weigh down fine hair if you use too much of it, so less is more!
Pour a coin-sized amount onto your palms. Rub your palms together and spread evenly across the entire head of hair.
If you have any leftover hair serum on your palms, you can focus on your areas of concerns, such as dry hair ends or scalp.
Step 3 - Dry your Hair and Move on to Styling
On lazy days, you can switch your dry shampoo for Chanamu S. Massage a tiny amount of it onto your scalp to volumize your roots and keep your hair smelling fresh. What a versatile hair care product!
Want a low effort way for loose waves? Tie your hair into a low bun or braids right after applying. Dry your hair with a blow dryer and let it set for a few minutes to show off your newly done highlights or balayage!
Without further adieu, here’s our ending thoughts on the Chanamu S Leave-in Treatment!
In short, we love it. For straight hair, it works well without any sticky residue and tames most frizz that damaged hair has. It only took us a few minutes to complete the routine as this serum requires zero rinsing at all.
It moisturized our hair ends and reduced the amount of hair knots. This will keep your hair manageable while you grow out your hair.
Here’s our Tip: Use hair products meant for your hair type.
These hair serum, ‘S&C’ (Straightening and Curling) Leave-in Treatment were designed for straight and curly hair respectively.
Chanamu S has a smooth finish which leaves hair silky and straight, as opposed to Chanamu C that has a waxy texture.
For those with permed or naturally curly hair, we also tested Chanamu C, which is great for holding your curls and keeping them voluminous.
Now that you know the real truth behind ‘dry hair treatments’, you no longer have to try out multiple products only to be disappointed by the end of the day. Tell your friends this secret too, so that they can save themselves the heart break!
